Posted 2 years ago in News

In an effort to advance cooperation in the publishing sector and provide greater opportunities for domestic publishers, the Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) and the Ministry of Education held a meeting titled “Together Towards The Future Of Publishing” headed by Rashid Al Kous, Executive Director of EPA, and Dr. Hamad Al Yahyai, Assistant Undersecretary for the Curriculum Sector at MOE.

The two sides explored ways to facilitate exchange of expertise, launch services that help improve standards in educational content, and benefit from the expertise of Emirati publishers in adding value to educational publications of the MOE.

The EPA seeks to enhance the contribution of Emirati publishers in local markets and establish cooperation between them and government bodies, which would help create opportunities for EPA members and open communication channels with all sectors affiliated with the publishing industry locally and internationally.

Commenting on the meeting, Rashid Al Kous stressed: “As the largest publisher in the knowledge sector, the MOE provides Emirati publishers an excellent opportunity to produce high-standard educational content according to its requirements and specifications. The meeting helped exchange expertise and open communication channels with the Ministry, which has extensive experience in the educational publishing sector.”
