EPA showcases strengths of Emirati publishing industry at FBF

The Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) is shining light on the rich landscape of the Emirati publishing ecosystem and showcasing its latest offerings to publishers and visitors at the ongoing 74th edition of the Frankfurt Book Fair (FBF), which concludes on October 23.
EPA is also holding extensive meetings with the book fair’s organisers and international publishers and facilitating networking opportunities between Emirati publishing houses and their international counterparts, literary agents and translators to explore cooperation and business opportunities.
At the global book fair, EPA is highlighting the diversity and richness of Emirati titles in various fields, including children and young adults and comics genres. In Frankfurt, EPA is showcasing the works of its members including Ugarit Publishing, Thaqafa Publishing and Distribution, Liberty Education, Al Hudhud Publications, and Sadiqat Publishing and Distribution Books.
Rashid Al Kous, Executive Director of EPA, said: “Our annual participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair is an opportunity to meet with the organisers of the book fair and international publishers to showcase the enhanced capacity of Emirati publishers and highlight their distinguished works that are today significantly enriching the Arab and international cultural worlds.”
He added: “The meetings we organise bring together Emirati publishers with their global counterparts to exchange expertise and explore partnership opportunities, in addition to highlighting the association’s programmes and efforts in advancing the UAE’s publishing sector.”
