To boost the profile of Emirati authors regionally and internationally and strengthen their outreach in new markets, the Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) is showcasing 2,747 titles by 33 publishers through its ‘Manassah’ platform at the ongoing 21st Amman International Book Fair in Jordan which runs until September 10, 2022. Under EPA’s Manassah platform, members with less than 20 published works benefit from networking opportunities at prominent book fairs. Over the years, the platform has connected small- and medium-sized Emirati publishers to a wide audience and businesses in the region and beyond. 

During the inauguration of the book fair organised by the Union of Jordanian Publishers in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the Greater Amman Municipality, Her Excellency Haifa Najjar, Jordan’s Minister of Culture, lauded EPA’s efforts in promoting Emirati authors and advancing the Arab publishing sector regionally and internationally.

Visitors at the book fair flocked to the EPA pavilion to learn more about the Emirati titles on display which covers a wide range of topics and genres to cater to the demands of varied community segments and age groups.

Commenting on EPA’s participation, Rashid Al Kous, Executive Director of EPA, said: “Our participation at the 21st Amman International Book Fair is in line with our ongoing mission to highlight the exceptional works produced by Emirati publishing houses and strengthen cultural bonds with our counterparts to support the Arabic publishing scene, in addition to promoting the importance of books and instilling the habit of reading.”

The 21st edition of the Amman International Book Fair runs until September 10 with the participation of 400 publishers from 22 countries.
