Overview

The Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) was established on February 2, 2009 to represent the interests of the UAE’s publishers, authors, and booksellers. The EPA represents the voice of the Emirati publishers by constantly working on advancing their rights nationally, and internationally. Today, the EPA is a prominent member of the Arab Publishers’ Association, and the International Publishers’ Association.

As an association, the EPA is focused on providing its members with the most efficient training programs, opportunities for professional development and exposure to the global publishing market among many other things.

In its effort to advocate on behalf of the UAE’s publishing industry, the EPA focuses on enhancing the UAE’s existing legal framework in order to afford publishers world class protection of intellectual property rights, copyright enforcement, and freedom to publish, thereby promoting creativity in the UAE.
