Abdulla Al Kaabi


Abdullah Al Kaabi holds the position of President of the Emirates Publishers Association in its eighth term. He obtained a Master's degree in Master of Science in Innovation and Change Management in 2015 from Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University in Dubai. Abdullah believes that writing is the best way to share ideas with others, and he also believes that language and dialects build bridges of communication between cultures. He founded the "Al Ramsa Institute" to teach the Emirati dialect to non-native speakers and has authored several books in this field. The most notable among them is the book "Dictionary of Emirati Dialect," which has gained significant popularity and has been translated into several languages, including Korean, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, and many others. He has also authored the books "Ramsni Emirati" and "365 Emirati Phrases," and recently published the book "Metaphorical Expressions of the Body in Emirati Dialect." Abdullah is interested in translating world-class literature into the Emirati dialect. He translated the novel "The Little Prince," which garnered attention from Arabic dialect scholars. He has also published numerous children's stories in both Standard Arabic and the Emirati dialect. Additionally, he released his first novel titled "If Only It Were." Abdullah has established Al Ramsa Publishing House, which focuses on publishing materials for teaching the Emirati dialect to non-native speakers. The publishing house also promotes local works and translates them into various languages for global reach. He has also previously founded Dragon Publishing and Distribution House, which specializes in translating world and Chinese literature into the Arabic language, and vice versa.

Ameera BinKadra 


Ameera BinKadra, currently serving as the Vice President of the Emirates Publishers Association for the 2023-2025 term. She is an Emirati writer born in 1977. She graduated in 1999 from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai, holding a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Ameera's passion for books began at a young age, where she found solace in reading and spent most of her time immersed in books. In 2016, she embarked on her writing career by participating in the Dubai International Program for Writing, a program renowned for its contribution to the literary movement in the UAE and globally.

Mohammed Bindekhain

Member of The Board

Mohammed bin Dekhain is the Treasurer of the Emirates Publishers Association and a member of the board for the 2023-2025 term. With a strong media background, he has held significant positions.From 1989 to 1992, he served as Editor and later became the Editor-in-Chief of "Al-Quwwat Al Jawiya" magazine. Between 1992 and 1997, he held the position of Director of the Media Department at the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research, while also serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the daily newsletter "Akhbar Al Saah." From 1999 to 2005, Mohammed held prominent roles, including being the media companion to the Ruler of Sharjah, Director of the Sharjah Office of the UAE News Agency (WAM), and Editor-in-Chief of the news program at Abu Dhabi's "Disk Al Akhbar." During 2005-2010, Mohammed served as the Director of the Media Centre at the University of Sharjah. From 2010 to 2013, he worked as the Director of Government Communication and International Relations at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization. From 2013 to 2022, Mohammed worked as a media advisor at the Securities and Commodities Authority, where he also served as the CEO of Happiness and Quality of Life. He is also a founding member of the UAE Journalists Association. Mohammed has also contributed to significant events and accompanied the UAE Peacekeeping Forces to Kosovo, covering their missions and humanitarian activities. He is the Editor-in-Chief of "Marasi News" and "Marasi Yachts," specialized magazines published by Imagination Media and Tactics Media in Dubai.

Abdulla Alsharhan

Abdulla Alsharhan, currently serving as Secretary and Member of The Board of the Emirates Publishers Association for 2023-2025, is a renowned Emirati author and illustrator born in 1981. His creativity shines in drawing, writing, character development, and comic books. He gained fame through directing the award-winning series "Iftah Ya Simsim" and creating the beloved local character "Hamdoun" and its animated series. He also illustrated the story collection "Alammy Al Sagheer" by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Abdulla began his publishing career in 2003 as a freelance editor, publishing his first comic book series. He excelled in developing Arabic content for children and established Ajyal Publishing, specializing in books for children and young adults. With over 20 authored and illustrated children's books, Abdulla's works are included in educational curricula and published by reputable institutions. He has received awards, including the Etisalat Award for Arabic Children's Literature and participation in the Sharjah International Children's Film Festival. Abdulla holds a distinguished Master's degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. His academic achievements include published scientific research papers.

Fatma Alkhatib


Fatima Alkhatib is a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Publishers Association for the 2023-2025 term. She is Diagnostic Medical Imaging graduate specializing in Diagnostic CT Imaging, with a focus on injuries, accidents, and brain clot patients. She has been working as a Radiology Technician at Rashid Hospital since 2008. She has published several articles in English in the same field and has delivered seminars and lectures at medical conferences. Her passion for writing, reading, and culture inspired her to establish Sadrat Publications in 2022, aiming to be a significant driving force in literary translation. She aspires to promote Arab culture, particularly Emirati culture, to the world and support Emirati authors in achieving global recognition. Additionally, she has worked as a book editor and reviewer for Gulf publishing houses and has overseen the organization of cultural events.
